Shayda must be granted Asylum in Japan
Shayda, an Iranian gay asylum seeker, has been detained by Japanese
immigration officials for almost a year. His asylum application has been
rejected and he is at risk of being deported to Iran where he will face
persecution. IFIR calls on progressive
groups and individuals to send letters of protest demanding that Shayda be
granted protection and immediately released from prison. Send letters to: Masayoshi
