Protect Iranian Refugees In Northern Iraq

We, the undersigned, call on the UNHCR to address the legitimate demands of over a thousand Iranian refugees participating in a sit-in at the offices of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Erbil and Soleymanieh, Iraqi Kurdistan in protest to that agency's lack of response to their needs and demands. Their demands from the UNHCR are: refer refugees to the embassies of countries offering resettlement; facilitate their transfer to safe third countries; and improve living and health conditions.
