To stop deportation of Iranian refugees in Turkey

Farideh and Nazila are due to be deported in 4 days

Turkish government has issued a deportation order for Nazila Mohamad Hossini Zamani and Farideh Asadi since March 5, 2004 and gave them a fifteen-day deadline.  This is in continuation of a new series of deportation of Iranian asylum seekers by the Turkish government with the collaboration of United Nation High Commissioner for refugees (UNHCR).

Nazila Mohamad Hossini Zamani and Farideh Asadi are two Iranian refugee women who fled persecution and came to Turkey to seek asylum.  They have continued their fight for women’s right and equality in Turkey and have been actively participated and spoken in conferences and seminars to expose the misogynist acts of the Islamic regime of Iran and its brutal laws.  To protest the UNHCR’s decision on their case files, they have started a sit-in strike since September 2003.  Nazila Mohamad Hossini Zamani and Farideh Asadi are known among women’s right and progressive organizations in Turkey and have received a great amount of support from individuals and organizations all around the world.

Farideh and Nazila and their children are due to be deported in 4 days, help us to stop their deportation.
